Accelerating gender equity in finance
VersaFi Ontario is excited to host its 2nd annual charity fundraiser and social, Cards for a Cause.
Join 400+ women, men and gender-diverse professionals from across multi-disciplinary professional backgrounds for a friendly poker tournament and an incredible night of networking, cocktails and food, while raising proceeds for a great cause. The event is open to all skill levels and aims to create a friendly and inclusive environment for all players.
As part of this annual event, revenue is donated to a local charity with a focus on organizations that are making a significant impact on women and children in our community. This year we are proud to present Jessie’s Centre as our selected charity. The evening will begin with an introduction and teaching session followed by a knock-out Texas Hold’em style tournament. Hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served throughout the evening and exciting prizes to be won for the top poker players of the tournament.
CHARITY
Jessies’s Centre. The June Callwood Centre for Young Women is a drop-in multi-service resource centre dedicated to supporting pregnant and parenting individuals who are 21 years old or under at intake. Their mission is to nurture pregnant and parenting young women and their children as they rise to their full potential by supporting them with access to health services, housing, education, counselling, and other personalized supports.

Ticket costs cover all food (hors d’oeuvres) and drinks for the evening, as well as poker chips for the first round. Any remaining event proceeds will be donated to Jessie’s Place.
Note: A Table seats 10 people. Upon purchasing a Table you will be emailed to prior to the event to provide the names of all guests attending.
