This privacy policy has been developed as an extension of VersaFi’s commitment to conduct all of its interactions and events with the highest level of integrity in dealing with the public and its members.

This policy guides how VersaFi collects, stores, and uses information that is both collected by VersaFi or provided to VersaFi, whether through its website or by other methods including applications, registrations or other means. This statement does not cover outside websites that are linked to or from the VersaFi website.

For example, if you are a member, VersaFi will use the information you provide us to process your application, maintain your membership, send information to you and respond to you.

VersaFi collects information, such as your name, mailing address, e-mail address, and telephone number. If you are applying for membership with VersaFi, we may also collect information about your education, job description and employer.

VersaFi is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. VersaFi uses advanced security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

VersaFi commits to not knowingly release your personal information to external organizations without your approval, other than companies that process your credit card if you register for any events or if you apply to become a VersaFi member, or to other organizations as required by applicable laws or regulations.

Please note that VersaFi may aggregate the data (including personal information) it collects and, by disclosing your personal information on this website, you hereby agree and consent to VersaFi’s collection, use and disclosure of such data in aggregate anonymized.

By becoming a member of VersaFi, you have consented to the release of your work related information on the members–only section of the VersaFi website.

OPTING OUT OF THE RELEASE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES

If you do not wish VersaFi to release your personal information to third parties, please send a written request in which you identify yourself and clearly state your preference that VersaFi not release your information to one or more of the individuals or entities listed above. Please do the same if you wish your name to be removed from the VersaFi email mailing list. Please note that withdrawing consent may result in a reduction in access to the website and to the specific features of the website and may affect membership services. Please also note that any request for withdrawal of consent will not prevent VersaFi from using the personal data you have provided in anonymized form nor will it prevent VersaFi from disclosing your personal data in the event it is compelled to do so by law.

If you choose to opt out, please be aware that VersaFi will not be able to fulfill some of your requests. For example, in order to process a registration fee charged to your credit card, VersaFi must send your credit card information to a credit card processing company.

NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

VersaFi reserves the right to change the Privacy Policy at any time. As a result, VersaFi requests that you read this policy from time to time in order to be informed of possible changes in the VersaFi’s Privacy Policy. If the Privacy Policy changes, and personal information is collected for a purpose that is different from that stated at the time that it was originally collected, the Privacy Policy will be modified and updated as necessary. Changes to the Privacy Policy will take effect on the 31st day from the date the updated Privacy Policy is posted.

RETENTION OF INFORMATION

Council will retain personal information as long as it is necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and as required by law, after which time, the information will be deleted and destroyed.
