What you’ll be doing
At CIBC, we are on a mission to build a client-focused, connected, and performance-driven team and are seeking applicants who can help us transform our bank.
The CIBC Opportunity Scholarship helps match talent opportunities for students facing barriers to entry into careers in financial services. Eligible students enrolled in full-time undergraduate programs in Canada can receive a scholarship and paid internships in the 2027 Capital Markets Summer Internship program.
This scholarship is available at the bachelor’s degree level valued at $10,000 CAD, available for one academic year. In addition to the scholarship, the successful applicant will be offered a paid summer internship in Global Markets.
Join our Global Markets team as a Summer Analyst in this 4-month role and become part of a team focused on delivering innovative banking and investment solutions to CIBC’s retail, wealth and business clients, including corporates, governments and institutional clients around the world. Our goal remains to be the leading Capital Markets franchise in Canada and to work as one team to build our brand across North America and the world – proudly living our values as we work toward our vision to be the leader in client relationships.
Our Global Markets business comprises our sales, trading, structuring and research teams spanning cash and derivative products in foreign exchange, commodities, rates and equities in addition to securitization, prime brokerage, money markets and more. We are widely recognized for our capabilities and leadership in these areas and remain committed to investing in technology and talent to drive innovation and scalable growth.
