Position description

The Opportunity: We are currently seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Associate, Trade Operations to support timely and accurate trade execution and settlement across multiple asset classes. You’ll work collaboratively with internal trading teams and external partners, communicating clearly, taking ownership of issues, and helping drive high-quality operational outcomes.

What you’ll do:

  • Own daily asset reconciliations; investigate discrepancies and follow through to resolution.
  • Maintain security set-up and reference data in the order/trade management system with a high attention to detail.
  • Validate equity, fixed income, and derivatives trade details; confirm with brokers and flag risks early.
  • Match trades via DTCC CTM (or similar) and coordinate settlement instructions with fund administrators, custodians, and prime brokers.
  • Monitor failed trades/settlement breaks, communicate status, and coordinate next steps across stakeholders.
  • Support proxy voting and class action workflows and contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives.

  • 3–6 years of relevant experience (asset management, prime brokerage, or financial services preferred).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; comfortable working with deadlines and shifting priorities.
  • Confident communicator who can build effective working relationships with internal teams and external service providers.
  • Ownership mindset: proactive, accountable, and able to independently drive issues to closure.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with Bloomberg, Charles River (CRIMS), DTCC CTM, or similar systems is an asset.
  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with a continuous learning mindset.

Compensation & benefits: Expected annual base salary: $60,000–$75,000 (based on experience, skills, education, and team budget), plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus program.
