Co-op and Internship opportunities allow you to gain valuable work experience across a number of the businesses at TD.  You will work with experienced colleagues, receive world class training, and be part of a community of students across TD, where you will have an impact, grow as individual and experience our culture of care.

QED Team Overview:

The Front Office Quantitative Engineering Development Group, part of the Fixed Income Group, provides trading floor quantitative and technical support, mainly through the development of pricing models and hedging tools. The QED Team is a talented team of experts committed to developing cutting-edge quantitative models. As a member of this team, you will have the chance to collaborate with experts in the field of quantitative finance and get insightful knowledge about the trading and risk management industries.

Required skills / Experience

Qualifications

  • Current enrollment in a relevant post-secondary program
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in programming languages like C++ (VBA, Python, C# experience desirable).
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Familiarity with basic stochastic interest rate models and data analysis.

Requirements – What You Need to Succeed

  • Proven competency in C++ programming and experience in contributing to large-scale projects. Please provide Github profile or a summary description of relevant experience. Please also list your most notable technical achievements in the project(s).
  • Experience in development on Windows and Linux operating systems (any distribution)
  • Strong mathematical intuition preferred.
  • Python skills optional
  • Knowledge in financial markets optional; on-the-job training provided.
