Position description

Job Description:

We are looking for a dynamic Intern to join the Knowledge Advantage team in CPP Investments’ Technology & Operations Department. This role will be in the Toronto Office during the Summer of 2026.

The Knowledge Advantage (“KA”) team strengthens CPPIB’s investment edge by improving how institutional knowledge is captured, shared, and reused across the Fund. KA delivers on this mandate by building and maintaining a centralized knowledge pool, supported by indexing processes that capture both what we know and who knows it. As a member of KA, you will work to identify, curate, structure, and publish high-value knowledge assets that support investment decision-making. You will collaborate closely with technology partners and business subject matter experts to design, test, and document practical knowledge indexing and discovery solutions, while actively promoting a culture that starts research with knowledge and defaults to sharing wherever possible.

Summer Program

Your summer begins with Intern Orientation, where you’ll connect with peers, explore our culture, and gain insight into our strategies through company-wide departmental overviews. You’ll also have the chance to engage with senior leadership, advance your knowledge through skills-based training, and apply what you learn in stimulating on-the-job assignments.

In addition to your core work, you’ll take part in signature summer programming such as our Intern Case Competition and Speaker Series. We encourage you to bring your full self to work, take advantage of every learning opportunity, and build relationships that will support your career growth.

Accountabilities:

  • Support the identification, collection, and organization of investment-related knowledge and documentation across teams.
  • Assist in curating, tagging, and structuring knowledge assets to ensure accuracy, discoverability, and reusability.
  • Contribute to the ongoing maintenance, review, and quality control of the centralized knowledge pool.
  • Partner with senior team members, technology partners, and business subject matter experts to document knowledge indexing and discovery processes.
  • Support the testing and validation of new knowledge tools, features, and indexing approaches, providing feedback from a user and content perspective.
  • Prepare clear documentation, summaries, and user guides to support adoption and effective use of knowledge tools and practices.
Required skills / Experience

Qualifications:

  • Candidates enrolled in an undergraduate program, pursuing a degree in Business, Information Science, Knowledge Management, or a related field, and returning to school in Fall 2026.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to manage and structure information effectively.
  • Interest in how knowledge, data, and tools support investment decision-making and business outcomes.
  • Comfort working with documents, datasets, and internal systems; experience with content management or knowledge tools is an asset.
  • Ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders and communicate clearly in writing.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively and professionally with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Exemplifies CPP Investments’ Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership, and high performance.
