Student Internships
Undergraduate students who self-identify as women and are interested in learning more about investments and asset management and will have completed their second year of undergraduate studies by May 2025 from Western University of any other Canadian university.
Women in Asset Management (WAM) is designed to overcome the important issue of underrepresentation of individuals who self-identify as women in asset management in Canada.
WAM is a course and summer internship program that launched in May of 2022, for second year undergraduate students at any Canadian University who self-identify as women and are interested in learning more about asset management.
The program includes a four-week classroom experience followed by a 10-12 week paid internship at a Canadian asset management firm (banks, pension funds, hedge funds, etc.). In 2025 we are happy to be growing the program and accepting a select number of students from any Canadian university.

The 2025 Women in Asset Management (WAM) Application Portal will go live on the website below, starting October 1, 2024.
There are two rounds of admission opportunities. The first round opens on October 1, 2024, and closes on November 18, 2024. The second round opens on November 19, 2024, and closes on January 6, 2025.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as they are submitted, and decisions are issued within 2-3 weeks of the respective round’s deadline. You don’t need to wait until the application deadline to apply, and early submissions are encouraged.
