BCI’s tax team is looking for a Manager to join its Deal Advisory group. Reporting to a Director, Tax, the role provides support on tax-related issues for investments in private equity, infrastructure and renewable resources, private credit and public markets. This position works closely with BCI’s internal deal teams, legal department, other BCI departments, other institutional investors and external tax advisors on strategic and complex transactions and issues. Team members also work on other projects such as internal reorganizations, management of tax issues for existing assets and engaging with foreign revenue authorities and governments on key issues related to BCI and its clients. BCI Tax’s focus is to ensure BCI’s clients can access preferred tax rates on investments across the globe in a manner consistent with overall goals such as investment governance and operational efficiency. The Finance department is part of BCI Operations and is responsible for investment and corporate accounting, valuations, as well as financial statements and financial reporting to our clients. The team also leads BCI’s budgeting process, tax structuring and tax compliance, finance client engagement, finance operations, procurement, and investment performance and analytics. Working with our internal business partners, auditors and external advisors, the Finance department strives to be a trusted advisor to our internal and external clients by providing timely, accurate, and relevant financial information and analysis.

The annualized base salary range for this Victoria-based role is CAD $115,000 to $140,000.
The base salary offered to the successful candidate will consider a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill set, level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered and consideration to internal equity.

We aim for actual pay to be around the median of the market for target or expected levels of performance, and around the upper quartile of the market for excellent performance.
