Position description
What is the Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Investment Officer, you will take the lead in developing, implementing and monitoring the investment strategy for the Global Equity team, which includes oversight of all US, Global and EAFE equity portfolios. You will be responsible for leading a group of five Portfolio Managers in day-to-day security analysis and research, portfolio construction, and risk management across the three core mandates (US, Global and EAFE) as well as several unique sustainable investment mandates. You will provide insight and collaboration as a member of the Asset Allocation committee, participate in monthly Investment Committee (all asset class team leaders) meetings and support the new business development and client service team. 
 
Your responsibilities
  • Lead the portfolio construction, risk management and ongoing monitoring across all US, Global and EAFE portfolios;
  • Represent Addenda’s Global Equity team appropriately in various functions when liaising with clients and the investment community (e.g. CFA Institute, Investment Dealers).
  • Lead weekly research, portfolio construction and trading meetings with team;
  • Support and collaborate with other Investment teams and Portfolio Managers as well as the Economics and Sustainable Investment teams at Addenda;
  • Participate in monthly Investment Committee meetings with other team leaders;
  • Participate in quarterly Asset Allocation forecast and strategy meetings;
  • Coach and mentor team members on a daily basis.
Required skills / Experience
What you bring
  • Substantial experience and proven track record of success in a position with similar functions including an established history of leading high-performing teams;
  • You have a high level of experience and knowledge of security analysis, thematic research, equity market and trading, portfolio construction and risk management;
  • You have a strong understanding and comfort incorporating Environmental, Social and Governance risks; into your analysis and research;
  • You excel when presenting to clients, stakeholders and staff with differing levels of investment knowledge and sophistication;
  • You have a track record of constructing and managing high performance portfolios while engaging your team;
  • CFA designation and other relevant designations.
