On behalf of the Board of Directors, as well as our VersaFi President & CEO, Tanya van Biesen, we are delighted to announce the appointments of Bindu Cudjoe, Katherine Rivington, and Sara Stowe as new board members. Each new member joins us with a breadth of experience and leadership across the finance sector. 

Bindu Cudjoe is the principal and strategic advisor to Bindustries Consulting Inc., where she advises law firms and organizations on client relationships, governance, and risk management.

A seasoned executive having served in executive roles at Laurentian Bank of Canada, Canadian Western Bank, and Bank of Montreal, Bindu has led organizational strategy for legal, regulatory compliance, privacy, financial crimes, ethics risk management, and inclusion. Previously, she was a financial services partner at McMillan LLP and began her legal career at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP.  Bindu brings extensive governance experience, having served on more than 10 boards in the last two decades.

Katherine Rivington is Chief Operating Officer for BMO Wealth Management, leading broad transformation and strategic direction across Wealth Management lines of business. Over her more than fifteen years in financial services, she has held leadership roles in Corporate Strategy, Product Management, and Risk Management.

Katherine has a track record of building high-performing teams, combining strategic vision, execution, and effective cross-functional collaboration. She is driven by opportunities to transform, optimize, and modernize business operations through enhanced client experience and solutions enabled by data, analytics, and technology. 

Sara Stowe is Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer for Scotiabank’s Corporate and Investment Banking, leading strategy, operations, and transformation. Prior to joining Scotiabank, she served as Managing Director at BMO, overseeing business management for the U.S. Investment and Corporate Banking business.

With expertise as a former investment banker, she has held executive roles in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. She has successfully led enterprise-wide strategies, navigated complex transformations, and consistently delivered strong financial and operational performance. 

Sara played a foundational role in launching VersaFi’s Return to Bay Street – a program designed to create meaningful pathways for women returning to the industry.
