Toronto, Canada (November 27, 2024) – VersaFi is inviting all members of Canada’s finance industry to share their unique and critical perspectives on equity and inclusion through its newly launched Equity Equation survey.
This brief and anonymous survey aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of employee experiences in finance, capturing a broad spectrum of perspectives. It aims to explore how all personal identities and intersectionalities —including gender, race, age and sexual orientation—intersect with workplace realities. Specifically, the survey focuses on:
- Roles and satisfaction across finance sectors.
- Access to growth and development opportunities.
- Workplace culture, treatment, and fairness, including insights into pay equity, compensation, and systemic barriers.
- Recruitment and retention of women and gender-diverse professionals.
- The evolving impact of AI and emerging technologies on finance careers.
The insights gathered will help determine what progress has been made; and what barriers continue to impact progress. VersaFi will leverage this data to develop actionable recommendations aimed at reshaping workplace policies, practices, and cultures across the sector.
VersaFi seeks to engage 1,000 professionals representing diverse finance fields, from asset and wealth management to banking and fintech. The survey is open to all individuals working in finance until February 2025.
“The Equity Equation survey stands apart because it delves into the realities of today’s finance sector,” says Tanya van Biesen, president and CEO of VersaFi. “We’re not just asking the usual questions about workplace culture. This survey dives deeper—into how AI is transforming job roles, the barriers to career growth, the nuances of pay equity, and the effectiveness of recruitment and retention strategies. By capturing these perspectives, we’re creating a 360-degree view of the current state of the industry and building the foundation for actionable change.”
