TORONTO | April 7, 2021 – Women in Capital Markets (WCM) is launching a new chapter based in Regina, Saskatchewan.
This chapter expands the reach of WCM into the growing financial markets of the prairies in both Saskatchewan and Manitoba. WCM is already represented in five major cities for the financial services sector (Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal) with more than 3,500 members.
The Prairies chapter will officially launch on April 12 and is seeking steering committee members from the prairie regions to join the organization’s mission of accelerating equity, diversity and inclusion in the finance industry. “WCM is thrilled to welcome June Zimmer and Aimee Palmer as co-chairs of the Prairie Chapter steering committee. Expanding WCM’s presence in Saskatchewan and Manitoba is an important milestone for our organization and we look forward to growing our membership and stakeholder engagement in this important financial region of Canada,” said Lara Zink, President and CEO of WCM.
Steering committee members will act as WCM ambassadors locally, by promoting and participating in WCM initiatives and cultivating a strong and diverse local network. If you are interested in joining the chapter and WCM’s mission, be sure to find out more about the steering committee roles and submit an application.
